Tuesday 21st August saw a packed house attend our meeting for a very entertaining evening with Cathy Miller  "The Singing Quilter" and her husband John Bunge from Victoria BC Canada.

Cathy sang stories of Elizabeth Fry and the convicts transported to Australia, plus many others, including the block name story depicted in her own quilt. While John sang the lament of a quilters husband.

We hope some of our many visitors will join us again for our regular meetings, and Cathy and John will return.

Katherine Guerrier

Ready for the talk

Hilary and Ann hold up the work
Katherine Guerrier gave us a very interesting talk with quilts from small to large.
The mix of colours and endless ideas meant we all came away thinking we must look out our "odd" blocks and use them in some way.
